A landoscar college AU, told through social media
oscar, a quiet english major, and lando, chaotic maths boy, are paired together in a philosophy module at Federation U.
author's notes:
we're being a bit fluid with grid ages, but oscar and lando are sophomores/year 2 of college here
ignore the timestamps, they don't really matter

GOODREADS
@oz-peartree
oscar spent most of his summer (or australian winter) hanging out in cafés and reading. he once wrote a 2,000 words review on the merits of good omens on goodreads, but then got embarrassed and also thought it would interfere with his deliberate choice to not leave any reviews besides stars. so he deleted the whole thing and saves it in a folder for himself instead. one of his sisters once stumbled on his goodreads page by accident. he has tried to block her IP across multiple devices but has largely been unsuccessful.
——————————— the seminar —————————————
we zoom in on Federation Internationale University (FIU), a sunny campus nestled up in the hills of monaco. two students, lando norris and oscar piastri, have made it into their sophomore year.
prof vettel's philosophy 204 module is notoriously hard. both of them have to take it as part of their degree requirements (but for lando, maybe also because he enjoys a challenge).
assignment pairs are set by prof seb early in the semester. lando already knows of oscar, and vice versa, but nothing substantial beyond passing each other in the hallway or the occasional library run-in in freshman year. lando's made quite an impression because he once spent half the seminar chatting about how "young stalin was kinda cute" despite stalin not being related to the philosophy syllabus, and it being totally tangential to the topic at hand. half the class agrees with lando, the other half is too overwhelmed by his energy to argue.
oscar just wants to get on with the work already. he was the best kid at his prep school, the prep school that he moved halfway across the world for at 14 and worked hard at, and doesn't like being distracted from his very important goal of being class valedictorian at FIU eventually.
lando gets oscar's number after class, before they both skirt off in different directions. oscar wants to talk to lando about the assignment, but when lando exits the room he's already off talking to another bunch of friends, and oscar's too awkward to jump in.
lando texts first.
iMessage
oscar rolls his eyes and gets back to writing his eighteenth century literature class notes.
meanwhile, lando texts max, his roommate and padel bud, about it. max is at a campus hackathon. (max is a junior who has been scouted by at least three big tech firms already, and is on track for early graduation. but lando thinks max has other reasons for wanting to stick around...)
the other thing lando is sure of is that oscar is not in fact better than him at padel. but he is not going to worry about that. or think about how oscar might look, red-faced and flustered and sweaty...
lando's phone pings with social notifications, and the thought disappears.
————meanwhile, the boys do some research——————
lando:
oscar:
and contrary to popular belief, oscar does have some feelings on the matter. he makes these feelings known to his friend logan, one of the few non-europeans on campus who also knows distinctly what it's like when people make fun of his accent. nevermind that everybody has an accent, oscar thinks. the idea of a neutral accent is an arbitrary invention. he'd just rather not expend the energy fighting people about it.
if oscar has any thoughts about how he would feel should lando choose to turn his flirty energy towards oscar himself, well... that is besides the point. because that would never happen. oscar is not interesting, oscar is not noticable. oscar is here to get his grades and move on.
oscar can think of three things that he hates, which he is in the process of overcoming. flight delays, going to the dentist, and now: working in group projects.
but, oscar tells himself, he is a grown man. he's moved halfway across the world to pursue his dream of getting his degree, and then heading on to work in publishing. he tells himself he'll stay focused on this, and nothing else. because pursuing his goals requires singleminded determination. or like the great poet pitbull once said: for anybody going through tough times, been there, done that. every day above ground is a great day, remember that.
so oscar puts his phone face-down on the table. he tries very hard not to think about bee statues or lando for the rest of the day.
(he fails.)

I know this isn’t usually what I post, but there's something I really want to share.
My account is currently a pro-ed recovery account, but it hasn't always been this way. I used to run a th1n$p0 account with over 700 followers, posting 'dieting tricks' that were actually bogus, because I was also stuck in a binge-purge cycle. I posted pictures of emaciated women in beautiful clothing, and watched as dozens of people commented and messaged me, asking for more. I thought I wasn’t hurting anyone, but deep down I knew I was. I was hurting everyone who saw the pictures I posted, and I was hurting myself by posting them.
Every day I got skinnier and sadder, yet I posted about how happy and perfect my life was. I spent hours on this app because I had pushed away everyone in my life; the only real connection I felt was in these comments and messages from my ana buddies. Despite feeling low every day, I would open this app and feel a little better.
One night a few months ago, I was lying in bed crying myself to sleep because I was so hungry it hurt. I opened the app to try to take my mind off it and went through my messages. The first one I opened said, "I love your spø, I used what you posted last night to not eat all day." For some reason, this message shook me to my core. It was similar to messages I received multiple times a day, but the thought of another girl lying in bed and crying herself to sleep because she was so hungry made me feel sick. Knowing I helped this girl starve herself, making her feel as miserable as I did, was awful beyond words.
The next day, I deleted my account. Over the next few weeks, I felt like absolute shit. I deleted Tumblr off my phone and erased every spø pic from my devices. I kept wondering how many people had seen what I posted and used it to skip meals. I started to fear I had inadvertently led someone into a death trap of restriction. In an attempt to make penance, I initially starved myself, thinking I deserved to feel that way too.
Eventually, I realized that hurting myself wasn't helping anyone. Even though I still struggle with my relationship with food, I decided to post pro-recovery content. If even one person sees my content and feels a little better, then it will all be worth it.
I want to emphasize that pro-ana accounts are not run by bad people out to hurt others. These accounts are run by struggling individuals, and it's important not to judge yourself based on what they say.
Sorry for the rant ❤️, just wanted to get that off of my chest.

Love Me Like I Can // Chapter 2
Chapter 2 // How to Touch a Girl
•warnings: Cursing. Cheating. Sexual Situations. Drinking. Drug use. MINORS DO NOT INTERACT.
The first time Diana woke up the morning after her birthday was actual torture, she was sure. The need to empty her bladder caused her to wake far earlier than she would have liked, early morning light barely making it through the blackout curtains that decorated her bedroom. The redhead carefully disentangled herself from the limbs of her sister and friend and climbed out of bed, grabbing her phone from beside her on the bed. Making her way to the ensuite bathroom, Diana immediately regretted unlocking her device for two reasons. First the dull ache in her head made itself known the second the light hit her eyes in contrast to the dark bathroom. 6:21 AM . Second, was a series of text messages from a number not saved to her phone that she decided could wait before she absolutely exploded. After washing her hands and splashing cold water on her face, Diana braced herself and opened the text thread.
+1(617)-555-1425 9:36 PM you look sooo good in your IG pics 11:15 PM ugh i wish i was with you rn 12:20 AM cmon di. dont be a btich text me back 1:37 AM Ungrateful bitch. 2:39 AM i see. youre out there fuckin with someone new. Thats wh you wont text me back. He’ll just get bored of you like I did. 2:41 AM How long before he starts fucking yor sister
Disappointed that the Boston area code and the content of messages meant the sender was clear, Diana quickly locked her phone and dropped it on the counter. She couldn’t deal with Connor right now. Leaving her phone in the bathroom, Diana crawled back into bed, thankful that she insisted on a “sleepover” last night and wasn’t alone to spiral.
The second time Diana woke up was slightly better than the first. She was alone in bed and her headache eased to a dull thumping, a glass of water on her bedside table. Emptying the glass in one go, Diana searched for her phone. A string of curses rang through her head when she remembered the reason that it was not beside her. After a dramatic sigh, she forced herself out of bed and into the bathroom. She turned on the light, looked in the mirror for the first time that day, and groaned out loud. Light reddish-purple bruises littering her neck and collarbone were visible under the sports bra she was wearing.
Annoyed with herself, Diana picked up her phone and checked the time: 12:12 PM. When she unlocked the device the messages from Connor were still open on the screen. While the reason for his vitriol was now apparent, clues painted on her skin, it didn’t make it justified. ‘It wasn’t like I had sex with Joe,’ she thought, ‘ And even if I had, I’m single and can fuck who I want.
Diana blocked the number but kept the text thread to show Biz later and moved on to check her other notifications, some birthday wishes from people who couldn't make it last night and a missed call from Cathy at 9:30. Diana decided could give her manager a call back later and was replying to all of the messages and comments as she walked into the kitchen of the apartment she shared with her sister.
Biz, who was standing at the stove cooking bacon and French toast, spoke as Diana walked in eyes glued to her phone. “Gooood Morning beautiful, Happy actual birthday,” the younger woman sang in a joking manner. “Taylor left, she had to catch a flight for the awards tonight.” She paused a minute before excitedly saying, “There was a delivery for you this morning.”
Diana looked up at her last statement, confused even more at the smirk on the brunette’s face. “What delivery?”
Biz didn't respond except for pointing her spatula towards the living room, signaling Diana to investigate. Rolling her eyes, Diana did as she was told, walking farther down the hall to figure out what her sister was talking about.
She was not expecting multiple bouquets of roses placed in every nook and cranny they would fit to be decorating the living room. “What the fuck,” she muttered to herself, making her way toward the largest bouquet on the coffee table in the center of the room, silently counting the number of arrangements. Nine.
‘What a strange number,’ she thought as she picked up the card attached to the large bundle of roses, looking out of place on the coffee table next to her TV remote.
Tried to get your number Cathy with no luck. Now who’s curving who? 513-555-6947 JB
Warmth filled Diana’s body as she reread the card for the third time, trying to make sense of it. Pulling up Cathy’s contact information on her phone and pressing call, she turned to see Bizz in the doorway smiling like the Cheshire Cat.
“Soooo… who are those from?” Her tone gave her away, she already read the card.
“Fuck off,” Diana mouthed just as Cathy answered her phone, turning back to the flowers. “Cathy Allred,” the older woman answered cheerfully. “Hey, Cath, this is Di. I was just giving you a call back and wondering if you knew why there were 10 gigantic floral arrangements in my living room?” Diana greeted, attempting to keep her annoyance at her sister out of her voice.
Cathy’s throaty laugh came through the speaker and Di could imagine her expression was the same one that Biz was wearing. “Oh, honey. That handsome football player from last night was leaving messages at the buttcrack of dawn trying to weasel your number out of me. When I told him that I couldn’t clear that without your direct consent, he asked if he could send flowers to our office and have them forwarded to you if security approved the message. We just didn’t expect 9 separate bouquets.”
Diana was in shock. She couldn’t remember the last time she had received flowers unrelated to work.
“Well, uh, thank you, Cathy. That’s all I wanted. I’ll talk to you Wednesday,” Diana ended the phone call, still staring blankly at the literal dozens of roses sitting in her house. “Soooooo,” Biz’s voice came out in her signature sing-songy tone. “Are ya gonna text him?”
Diana bit her lip. “Well, I guess I should, right?”
She could feel her anxiety creeping up in the back of her mind, almost like frost crystallizing on glass in the winter. The first voices of self-doubt were beginning to scream you’re not good enough for him and he’s only going to break your heart when a hand on Diana’s shoulder refocused her.
“You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do, Di,” Biz’s comforting words filled her ears. “He’s a really hot guy who is into you, so I’d say go for it. Texting him doesn’t mean you’re getting married next month, babe. But you were humping his leg like a dog in heat last night, so it probably would be proper etiquette to at least acknowledge his existence.” As was exiting the room laughing at her own joke as she said the last part. Diana rolled her eyes and thought about her sister’s advice. Joe really was an attractive man and all signs were pointing to him being attracted to her. Their physical chemistry last night had been off the charts and even though they didn’t discuss anything super deep, she was engrossed in the conversation, always wanting to hear what Joe had to say next. She was going to do it, she was going to text him.
She added his number to her phone and began debating how to start the conversation. After drafting and redrafting the generic ‘Hi! It’s Diana” messages for nearly two minutes, she finally settled on one that would let Joe know who she was.
Joe (Quarterback) 12:32 PM you left before saying bye last night, i’d say you’re still curving me.
Phone in hand, Diana made her way toward the smell of brunch. Before she could even make it to the breakfast nook her phone buzzed in her hands signifying she had received a text.
Tee wasn’t feeling great, I had to dash. Let me make it up to you. I’m in NYC until Monday night.
Butterflies filled Diana’s stomach as her eyes scanned the messages she had just received. Joe didn’t leave the party because he was embarrassed by their hookup like her anxiety had been trying to convince her. He had a legitimate reason and he wanted to see her again to make up for it. Before she could let her nerves stop her, she fired off a reply to Joe
i’ll hold you to it. 😜 i’m free all day tomorrow.
Diana didn’t even get a chance to lock her phone before a new message appeared on her screen.
Not anymore. Lunch?
She wasn’t sure if it was nerves or hunger making her stomach turn the way it was, so she decided to load up her plate before responding.
After eating a decent amount of brunch and taking a well-needed shower, Diana was lounging in her bed, Parks and Recreation on in the background, staring at Joe’s texts. So many conflicting thoughts were running through her head about what her response should be. As much as she wanted to see Joe again, she couldn’t shake the feeling of fear. Sure Joe seemed nice, but Connor seemed nice enough at first. She knew her ex had just sent the hateful texts to get under skin, but he knew which blows hit the hardest.
“Biiiiiiz! Come in here!” she shouted from her spot on the bed, in a frustrated squeal.
“What’s the matter?” The brunette questioned, popping her head through the door. “I think I agreed to hang out with Joe tomorrow and I’m scared,” Diana whined, dragging out the vowels in the word ‘scared’.
A snort came from Biz as she made her way fully into the room. “He’s a man, Di, not a monster. Why are you scared?”
Diana knew this was the moment that she should share that Connor had texted her this morning, but for some reason, she couldn’t get the words out of her mouth. Instead, what came out was a pitiful gasp for air that made Biz by surprise.
“Just, what if I’m supposed to be more healed than I am,” Diana breathed, tears in her eyes. “Like, what if Joe turns out to be as good as he seems? Doesn’t he deserve more than this heartbroken version of me? I’m barely myself again, Biz.”
“I think you should at least hang out with him and see where it goes. Worst comes to worst, you guys know you’re physically into each other,” Biz teased. Diana rolled her eyes, “What if he’s expecting to fuck and I’m not ready?” Biz shot her sister a look. “You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do, Di. But let’s be real, you need to get dicked down. How long has it been?” Diana rolled her eyes again, not wanting to acknowledge she was currently on the longest dry spell she’d ever had. Things in the bedroom aspect of her relationship with Connor never really met her standards, always dissatisfied. The past six months of their relationship had consisted of barely any intimacy, Connor claiming he wasn’t attracted to Diana at the moment. Turns out, he was just getting his needs met by her best friend. “You’re right,” Diana gave in, texting Joe back.
1:26 PM deal, burrow. tomorrow at noon. Italian or Mexican? Shit. Just got word that public restaurants are a no-go. its okay. we can do pizza and sweets at my place
A new fear ran through Diana’s head as soon as she heard the “swoosh” sound from her head. “What if-” Diana was cut off by her sister throwing a pillow at her face. “Shut up,” Biz said in a more serious tone than before. “I get that you’re nervous, but stop coming up with these what-ifs. Smoke about it and attempt to channel your thoughts into something productive.” With that, Biz left the room.
Diana knew her sister was right. Not only did she tend to handle her anxiety better if she was channeling it into something productive, but she was behind on writing. Cathy had told her that the songwriters she was meeting with on Wednesday were expecting the start of at least six new songs and at this point, Diana only had four songs, three of which were fragments.
Lighting a preroll from her bedside table, Diana reached for her notebook, anxiety still at full force. As she hit the joint, she began to scribble down the thoughts that were looping in her head in an attempt to get them to stop.
I know that I’m better than this heartbroken version of me What if he can't compete with the things that I'm scared of that keep love from me? I get so attached and when it ends and the comedown hits I just end up hating me The energy that it takes to be somebody’s somebody just ain’t in me.
After she had stubbed out her joint, the voice of Diana’s anxiety had dulled to a whisper and her mood had lifted considerably. When Diana looked up from her notebook and checked her phone she saw two new messages from Joe.
Awesome. Can’t wait to see you.
What are you up to?
Smiling to herself, her fingers glided across the screen to type out that she was writing, hoping it could turn into a song and returning the question. Joe must have had his phone in hand because within record time her phone was signaling a new message.
Just left lunch with the guys, can I call you?
The butterflies from earlier had returned with a vengeance accompanied by a warm flush taking over her body. Within seconds of replying with an affirmative text, her phone was ringing in her hand indicating she was receiving a FaceTime call from Joe. “Hello,” she greeted hesitantly, internally cringing at her appearance in the camera. Her long hair was still wet from the shower and braided into Dutch braids down the side of her head and she had placed two star pimple patches on her forehead and chin, not expecting to see anyone but Biz. “Hey! You look great,” Joe responded, white smile beaming at Diana. He appeared to be sitting against a hotel headboard, dressed in a black Bengals hoodie.
“No one likes a liar, Joe,” Diana smiled. “Wasn’t expecting a video call.”
“I just needed to make sure you were who you said you were,” Joe countered, smile turning into a playful grin. “Can’t be making plans to hang out with some rando, you know.” Diana rolled her eyes and placed her notebook on her bedside table, the action drawing Joe’s attention. “I’m sure girls are tripping over their own feet to eat lunch with you,” Diana let out a small laugh. “Unfortunately for you, I am myself and you have agreed to hang out with me. Now, if you’ll agree after this time, that’s a question for another day.” “Oh, yeah. What makes you say that?” Joe quirked an eyebrow, a grin still covering his beautiful mouth.
“Well, first of all, we’re getting pineapple on our pizza. Second of all, I planned on finishing my puzzle tomorrow, so you’re now getting roped into that.”
Laughter filled the speakers before Joe’s voice said, “Well, first things first, pineapple on pizza is the right decision… But a puzzle, really? What are you, 73?”
Diana was pleasantly surprised at the ease of carrying on a conversation with Joe. She had assumed that alcohol had lubricated their last interaction, but the way the conversation flowed for the next hour proved that wrong. Joe teasing her for doing puzzles led them to talk about their other hobbies which led to them talking about what started them on their careers.
“Yeah, so I’m hoping to be back by preseason, but there’s no guarantee. I just feel like I’m letting the team and the fans down, y’know,” Joe finished explaining his injury, something Diana had known the bare minimum about before this conversation. Rubbing the back of his neck, he looked to the side. “Sorry to overwhelm you.”
“No, please don’t ever apologize for sharing your emotions, Joe. You can’t hold everything in because you’re afraid of being judged.” Diana’s heart tugged for a moment, imagining how Joe must feel after the season he had last year. She wanted to make sure he knew that she was someone he could share with even if this went nowhere.
“Okay,” Joe nodded, but still changing the subject, “So, what about you? Any new music I get to look forward to?”
Diana rolled her eyes but smiled. Connor was never interested in her career, implying that the music his band made was better and more meaningful. It felt nice to have someone who wasn’t her sister inquire about the progress she was making on her new album. “Actually, I have a few writing sessions over the next few weeks with my label and some producers and start recording some new stuff in March. We’re planning on turning the EP into an extended into a standard album” “Oh, yeah? Do you have a lot of material?” Joe asked, seeming genuinely interested in the answer. “Uh, actually, I didn’t. I’ve been writing a lot recently, though, so hopefully..” Diana trailed off, hoping the heat on her cheeks didn’t show up on Joe’s end of the video call. It was embarrassing enough to admit to herself that she had been more inspired since Joe appeared in her life than she had been in six years, but she’d die if he figured it out.
After a few more minutes of talking, one of Joe’s teammates knocked on his door causing Joe to get off the phone. They had been on the phone for an hour, but Diana was sure she could have talked to him for three more. Diana spent the rest of her night watching the Grammys on her couch. Diana’s team still thought it was best if she stayed home this year as Connor’s band was up for nomination and they wanted to avoid as many headlines about the two as they could. They insisted that Diana stream from home and interact with fans while the awards were happening, which worked out okay in her book. She had fun posting on her Instagram stories rooting for the artist she was friends or a fan of, secretly rejoicing when Bedford Scrolls lost the award they were up for. The fact that she was able to hang out with Joe because she stayed home was definitely, absolutely, not the main reason.
—-----------------------------
If there is one thing that will never change about Diana Hayes, it’s that she’s not a morning person. Or a “before 1 PM” person, really. So when her alarm went off at 10 this morning, she wanted to press snooze with everything in her being. That was until she actually looked at her phone and noticed the text notifications on her home screen. She had the normal business updates in her team group chat, but that wasn’t the one that caught Diana’s attention.
Joe (Quarterback) 7:01 AM Is there a specific dress code today?
A smile crossed Diana’s lips, relieved that he wasn’t canceling on her. Tapping a reply out on her phone, she got out of bed and headed towards her bathroom.
10:02 AM whatever you’re comfortable in. i plan on restarting game of thrones today.
Diana busied herself by turning on her shower and adjusting the water temperature before her phone buzzed on the counter.
Sweats it is.
Good choice on shows. Don’t know if you’ve heard, but I’m King In The North 😉
Diana responded with an eye roll emoji before telling Joe she would see him at noon and entering the shower. She took her time in the shower, excitement bubbling in her stomach at the uncertainty of what the afternoon held. It had been ages since she had been on a first date, if this even was one, she wasn’t sure what protocol was anymore.
An hour and twenty minutes, one pair of shaved legs, and a fight with a hair dryer later Diana was freaking out. Joe would be here in less than an hour and she was regretting everything. He’s going to make fun of me, Diana thought to herself, he’s going to come over, think I’m weird, and then make fun of me to his friends. Adjusting her position on the couch, Diana brought her hands up to pick at her lips, an anxious habit she’d had since a child.
Before her fingers could even make contact with her mouth, Biz’s hand swatted it away, an amused look on her face.
“You told me to stop you from picking!” Biz held up her arms in defense, “I just wanted to remind you to tag the bakery the croissants are from on Insta before I leave.”
Biz was driving back to Philadelphia with Eli for the day, giving Diana and Joe the apartment alone for the day. After Biz made her way out of the door, Diana busied herself taking pictures for her social media posts, starting the first episode of Game of Thrones, and snacking on the sweets that had been delivered while she was in the shower. Before she knew it her phone was ringing, Joe’s name flashing across the screen.
“Hey,” Diana greeted, standing to pace in the living room.
“Hey,” Joe responded, “I’m about to get in the elevator, I just wanted to let you know I’m almost there.”
“Okay. Once you get to the 14th floor, we’re on the right. See you in a minute.”
Moments later, Diana was opening the front door of her apartment, eyes scanning over Joe’s body. He was dressed in a tie-dyed blue and purple, Space Jam crewneck and a pair of gray sweats. She had never understood before when her friends had talked about men in gray sweats, but seeing Joe had shown her the light.
“Hey,” Diana finally found her voice, gesturing for him to walk in the door.
“Hey, again,” Joe joked, making his way past Diana to stand in the entryway. Closing the door, Diana met Joe’s eyes and felt her face heat up.
“So, I have uhm, some pastries and fruit in the living room if you want to go in there. I’m like halfway through the first episode of Game of Thrones if you want to go watch.” Diana’s voice came out quicker than normal, nerves filling the space between the butterflies in her stomach.
Joe shook his head with a grin. “Alright. That sounds great to me.”
The pair made their way past the kitchen and into the living room, Diana waving her arm in the direction of the couch. “Make yourself comfortable. What do you want to drink?”
“Water sounds great, thanks,” Joe answered, walking to the corner of the couch. When she returned, Joe had sat down and was taking in the surroundings of Diana’s living space. The room was the same cream color that most high-end rentals are nowadays, sectional taking up most of the space. A coffee table in front held Diana’s laptop, a plate with croissants, cinnamon rolls, and strawberries, a glass of water, and two of the flower arrangements that Joe sent her the day before. The sectional was up against a full wall picture window, sage green blinds pulled halfway across and faced a flat screen TV that was paused on an image of Daenerys Targaryen walking into a steaming bath.
“I know it’s plain, but we’re only staying here temporarily,” Diana said referring to the room they were in, her presence startling Joe.
“Oh. Planning on moving soon?” Joe inquired, pulling himself deeper into the couch. Diana set the glasses down on the coffee table and sat down next to Joe, leaving about a foot of space between them.
“Kind of? I wanted to stay in New York until the tour starts and then Biz and I were going to look at houses,” Diana said in response, “I don’t necessarily want to settle down in a huge city, but I can’t imagine myself going back to Philly.”
“Did you hate it there or something?” Joe seemed genuinely intrigued about Diana’s plans, which was something that surprised her. She had only really known him for 36 hours and she was ready to tell him everything.
“Only since my dad died,” Diana said, instantly followed with, “Oh my god. That was so depressing. Ignore me.”
“You’re fine. It’s the real reason,” Joe chuckled, “I’ll quit interrogating you.”
The two talked a little more about Joe’s flight back to Cincinnati at 9 and the Grammys that happened the night before, somehow landing on their Game of Thrones opinions.
“I won’t deny that she’s completely batshit insane, yes. But she’s one of the best characters!” Diana said, excitedly of Cersei. “That’s not what you said, you said she was your favorite character,” Joe countered, “Which, if it is true, is wild.”
Diana laughed as she brought her legs onto the couch and crossed them crisscross-applesauce. The space that had previously existed between her and Joe disappeared, her knee pressing into his thigh. Attempting to ignore the heat that was making its way up her neck, Diana leaned forward and grabbed the remote. “Just watch it from my perspective,” she said before pressing play.
The rest of the first episode and the entire second one played while Diana and Joe snacked and gave commentary on what was happening in the show. Between episodes, Diana had readjusted, grabbing a blanket from the back of the couch and draping it over herself. She wasn’t sure when it happened, but sometime around the opening credits of the third episode after she had ordered pizza, she found herself pressed into Joe’s side with his arm wrapped around her shoulder. Within fifteen minutes of that, Diana found herself straddling Joe, hands on either side of his face, lips moving in sync with his. Joe’s right hand found its way to her hair as her lips traveled to the hair on his jawline.
“I like this scruff,” Diana panted between kisses, starting at his chin and making her way back up to the sensitive spot beneath his ear. Joe’s left hand traveled to her waist, reaching under her t-shirt and making contact with her bare skin. “I’ll keep that in mind,” just loud enough for Diana to hear. Diana ground her hips into his lap, feeling him harden beneath her and his hand traveled to her breast, massaging it eagerly.
They continued kissing a moment longer until Joe grabbed hold of Diana and laid her down on the couch. His lips found her neck and he asked, “Is this okay?” as he shifted his weight to not crush the woman below him, his left hand returned to its place under her shirt. “Take this off,” Joe said, gesturing to the material. Diana complied. “Couldn’t be better,” Diana sighed as Joe nipped lightly at her collarbone, tongue following shortly after his teeth.
“I’m sure there’s always room for improvement,” his voice laced with lust and arrogance. Just as Diana was about to ask what he meant, Joe’s hand moved from her breast to the waistband of her sweatpants.
With a nod of Diana’s head, Joe’s hand dipped beneath the waistband of both her sweatpants long fingers gently brushing her clit through her panties. A soft moan left Diana’s lips as she leaned forward to connect her lips to Joe’s again. His fingers teased her, using his thumb and forefinger to play with the material separating him from her core. Lifting her hips hoping Joe would get the hint, she pressed her core firmly against his fingers.
“More,” she breathed. Joe pulled the fabric aside and his fingers were instantly met with the slick wetness of Diana’s arousal. Sliding his middle finger along her slit, he brought it up to her clit and began to rub. Pleasure clouded Diana’s thoughts, Joe’s voice asking her if he could take her pants off barely making it through haze. She lifted her hips and pulled the material down her legs as Joe sat up, tugging his shirt over his head.
Joe stared at her for a moment, taking in the sight in front of him. Laying in only her black lace panties, Diana was too busy enjoying her own view to shy away from the hunger Joe was staring at her with. Joe was clearly a man who took care of his body and it showed. She was in awe.
Before Diana could process the definition of his muscles, Joe had resumed his position next to her, covering her lips with another kiss. Then, without hesitation, he took her left nipple in her mouth. Diana moaned again, arousal red hot between her legs. It wasn’t long until Joe’s mouth began moving downward again, leaving kisses until he got to Diana’s hip bones.
“Can I?” Joe asked, staring up hungrily at Diana. Hesitant, Diana thought it over for a second. She had only received oral three times in her past relationship as her ex had found numerous reasons to avoid the act, most of them criticisms of Diana. Everything from she was unattractive to she was too picky when it came to the way he did it. Trying to shake thoughts of her ex from her head, Diana reassured herself that every signal Joe had given her had proved he wanted to do this. Finally, she nodded her head.
Wasting no time after getting her consent, Joe placed his lips around Diana’s clit and began sucking. Instinctively, her hips bucked into him, eager for more pleasure. Diana felt Joe smile into her skin, then a finger slid into her while he continued to suck and lick at her. After some movement, Joe added another finger, pausing a moment to help her get used to the width.
Diana tried to clear her mind, looking down at the man between her legs. His fingers were moving inside of her, curling to hit a spot inside of her that she seemed rather receptive to the first time he hit it. A warm tension was pooling in the pit of her stomach as she tried to clear any insecurities from her mind. “Fuck..” Joe’s mouth drew another slow moan out of Diana’s mouth. She leaned forward, propping herself up on her elbows. “As amazing as this feels- fuck. I don’t think that I’ll be able to- holy shit!- finish this way.” Joe pulled his face away from her core, licking his lips and shaking his head. “I think you underestimate my determination,” he stated. Not breaking eye contact, he dipped his head back down and placed another kiss on her clit and added another finger to the ones busy between her folds.
Joe’s hands and mouth continued in unison to work their magic until moments later when tension in her core began to build towards a peak and her body convulsed. She brought her hand to her mouth and bit down lightly as Joe’s teeth lightly grazed her clit. He used his free hand to rest against her hip bones, trying to hold her in place so he could help bring her to climax. Releasing her clit from his mouth, began to move his fingers with more purpose, trying to match the pace that Diana was trying to set.
“Fuck. Fuck! Joe, I think I’m going to-” Diana was cut off by her orgasm. Joe continued to pump his fingers into her as he peppered kisses on her forehead. Warmth radiated through her body, starting at her core and rippling from her head to her toes. “That’s right, baby. Just let it happen,” he encouraged as Diana let herself give in to the sensation.
Taking a deep breath and opening her eyes, Diana was staring into Joe’s blue eyes. “Thank you. I promise you did not need to do that” Diana whispered, trying not to let her nerves get the best of her. “I didn’t have to, I wanted to,” his response helped ease her worries. “Besides, I didn’t want to not live up to what was advertised,” he joked, referencing the interview Ja’Marr had given. Just then, the doorbell rang indicating that the pizza they delivered had arrived.
An hour later, Joe and Diana had devoured an entire pizza and had spent the entire time deep in conversation. Trying to avoid bringing up what just happened, Diana kept the topics focused on friends and growing up. She learned about Joe’s parents and his brothers and heard what it was like to grow up in a relatively small town in Ohio, while she told Joe about how she grew up in Philadelphia, her mom leaving before she turned 10, and her dad passing away a few years ago. It felt almost relieving to have someone ask questions about the things she actually cared about.
It wasn’t long before Joe’s phone started ringing from its spot on the coffee table. Joe stood up and walked out of the room to take the call. It was a quarter till six, meaning that Joe’s flight left in less than 5 hours. Diana’s head began swimming with contradicting thoughts, sad that he had to leave soon and fear of what that meant.
When Joe ended the call, he walked back into the room, looking at his phone. “Apparently, I should leave in no more than ten minutes to make it back in time to pack for our flight. I guess I should leave” Joe looked just as conflicted as Diana felt. “Will I get to see you again?”
Diana felt her heart start beating harder than it ever had. This man was a fucking dream. “Yeah, that’d be cool. I’d like that,” Diana nodded, walking Joe to the door.
“Cool. I had a really good time today,” a smile covered Joe’s face when Diana turned a deep red. “I’m willing to repeat it anytime,” he said with a wink.
Diana shoved Joe slightly, arriving at the front door. Joe engulfed her in a hug, placing a kiss on the crown of her head.
“But seriously, I would like to hang out again. I’ll text you, okay?” He was looking down at her now, smirk still on his face
With a nod, Diana pushed herself onto her tiptoes to kiss him goodbye. Making sure she locked the door behind him, she raced to her phone to send her sister a text.
Sending the message, Diana couldn’t help to smile to herself. She wasn’t quite sure what she wanted from this relationship with Joe, but she knew for sure she wanted more of it.

➲ how to make a gif tut ! ✼
♡ hii this is a tutorial on how to make two types of flash gifs! the first gif will be a flash gif with a png overlay and video effects. the second flash gif is a sort of stop-motion-like gif made from multiple images.
this was for an ask in my inbox, but i accidently deleted it cuz tumblr was being weird.. anyways hope this helps anyone who's curious!
⤷ flash gif w/ png overlay + video effects
⋯ to make this type of gif i use capcut and a website called ezgif.com.
first, start a new project on capcut and select all the pictures you want to use in the gif (except the png) and click add.
⋯ once the pics are loaded in, adjust the duration of the photos to your liking (i do 0.6 but you can adjust to your preference). changing the duration of the pictures will determine how fast the pictures in the gif will pop up and how long the gif is.
i screenrecorded my process in capcut since it's kinda hard to explain with screenshots so feel free to replay certain parts you were stuck on!
⋯ after changing the duration of pics, overlay the png and then apply an animation to the png overlay (not required!). i like to apply a fade in and fade out animation on the png so it can appear and disappear in the gif smoother. then add video effects and adjust the settings to your preference. i mostly use video effect called iridescent for sparkles (you can use whichever effects u prefer tho!)
once you're satisfied with how it looks, export the gif to save it on your device. then go to ezgif.com and the tab that says video to gif.
⋯ upload the video you just saved from capcut onto ezgif then scroll down and convert to gif. you should then get your outputted gif and save to your device!
⋯ one of the cons i don't like about ezgif tho is that it greys out the colors of video to gifs.. if you know how to recolorize gifs or a different gif convertor website you can use that instead (pls tell me).
⤷ regular stop-motion flash gif
⋯ for this gif you only need to use ezgif.com. this is mainly for gifs where the images are moving without transitions and no effects. (png overlays are made beforehand and saved in different photos) luckily the colors don't change for this type of gif!
first you want to go to the gif maker tab then click switch to manually ordered upload. after that, upload all the images you want in your gif.
⋯ then change the delay time for all images to adjust how fast the gif will play. the larger the number, the slower the gif. i personally like to make the delay time 35 but it's not necessary for you to change the auto delay time of 20.
⋯ after changing the delay time, click make a gif! your outputted gif should load below and then save to device.
hopefully this was easy to understand 😓 comment or feel free to dm any questions if you're confused or need help! this is just a base tut for making gifs in mbs, you can change anything to your own preferences !

Anyone else having this issue?
When I try to edit a fic on Ao3, I get a blank text box like the pic above. If I click preview and then click edit again from there, it'll default to the first chapter. So I'm nervous to submit any changes if I did make them, and if I was trying to edit a later chapter I just… can't... LOL
The last few days it keeps resetting my session too, across multiple devices, after clearing my cache and even connecting to a different internet... so I don't think it's something on my end.
But from the time I start reading a 3k fic to reaching the bottom and trying to post a comment, it tosses up a "session expired" error and resets my site skin.

it’s me again! thank you so much for your response on my first ask!
so, my next question is this: what does the Town do for more, like, advanced medical stuff? because you don’t need high tech for some ailments, such as stitching wounds and setting bones, and a few illnesses can be made out just through visible symptoms.
but what about things like stomach pumping? X-rays? stuff like that? would the Town have it, or would that be too “modern”?
i know the Town has IVs (at least, i think those were IVs in P2), and Rubin seems to have a bit of a more “modern” look to his lab, but i’m not sure how far that “modernness” extends.
I generally go by "if the doctors in Town aren't using it under the critical circumstances in-game, it doesn't exist" - the bachelor points out that he doesn't have adequate instrumentation, and the haruspex was sent out of the town to study modern techniques in the first place. the Town is also pre-electric so that's not a point in favor of complex equipment... here's my review of stuff that we Can find
the Haruspex has an alembic, which is used for distillation, and another thing - a brewing tank in 2, but its patho1 equivalent looks more like another kind of separatory device (note the spouts at differing heights) and its tooltip is just [Mixture]. I would guess this is rockable along the support rod, used 2 mix or separate fluids
isidor's house doesn't have much of any equipment but this second thing, which I can't quite place - it also looks like a separatory device but is hand-cranked. (alembic pic also inserted so it's not huge)
medical equipment provided in 2's theatre is overwhelmingly "tins of unknown substance" which are likely to reflect the prevalence of herbal medicines. & yeah, these are IVs formed from what looks like a waterskin and needle (of absurd gauge! mamma mia! I hope it's just that large so it shows up on the game screen)
I was surprised while checking locations for this that rubin's crappy p2 hideout has literally no instrumentation, he has a bonesaw and a water pump and a couple of cans/packages laying around. afaik he doesn't even make the vaccine in p2 which tracks with that :-( but in p1, he has visible a microscope, scale, sealable fluid tanks, and a variety of glassware: test tubes with racks, and stoppered Erlenmeyer and cylindrical flasks of multiple sizes. which is a lot more than dankovsky has (only a microscope + tubes). speaking of microscopes, the way their UI works in-game confirms that blood samples are not centrifuged so a lot of modern techniques aren't going to be applicable.
anyway for advanced stuff I think people just died unfortunately.
#stomach pumping idk about. there would very likely be emetic tinctures though#urdeepestfathoms#asks#pathologic#p2 spoilers

Meeting Aaron Dismuke & John Barrowman (ComicCon)
Okay, SO! I just got home from ComicCon. First of all, yes. I did, in fact, get a chance to meet Aaron Dismuke - Tamaki, Lucifer, Professor Moriarty, and more. First of all, MY GOD THE MAN IS TALL. O_O Second of all, he was absolutely darling. Even before I got to him, I learned how nice he was: two young ladies wanted a picture and autograph, but the card reader at his booth was malfunctioning. He told them, very sincerely, that if he couldn’t get the card reader working in a short time, he’d let them have their signatures and pics for free. (That did not happen; they got the device working again...oooonly for it to malfunction once more immediately after. Go figure. :P ) In fact, multiple times during my encounter with him, he pointed out that he felt the prices for the convention were MUCH too high. Once I did meet him...it only got so much better. I asked him what his favorite part of playing William in MTP was...and he got so excited he SLAMMED the book I’d brought for him to sign shut before going into this spiel about everything he loved about the show. I may be paraphrasing slightly, but I think it went like this... “So, when I was a teenager, I actually had this fantasy - I used it for a school paper - about how, if someone were to kill the ten richest people in the world, and then keep doing that every month...what would happen? How would the world be better or worse? Would this eventually lead to a better place? William’s ‘Eat the Rich’ Philosophy isn’t EXACTLY the same, but it tapped into that old fantasy, and so it was actually more personal for me. Plus, I really love his attitude: anger is actually an emotion I don’t find easy in my repertoire - I don’t really get angry much in real life, I don’t think - and it was interesting to play a character who, no matter what happened, NEVER gets angry. Or, you know, never EXHIBITS how angry he is. He keeps everything level. Plus, it’s a classic character from some classic stories, so that was just cool!” After all this, he signed my book (”Catch Me If You Can, Mr. Holmes.” - A. Dismuke, Moriarty) and then I decided to be a bit more daring. I asked him if it would be allowed for me to take a video recording of him saying that same famous line. He responded that it was allowed, but he would have to charge me for it. “How much?” “I don’t know, the price is probably dumb...tell you what. For you? Thirty dollars.” I SLAPPED THOSE BILLS DOWN, BOI. He then asked for me to put my phone in selfie mode, and proceeded to record not only him saying the lines, but an almost two-minute spiel of him talking about the dialect and how he actually had to change his pronunciation of “Holmes” slightly during the show, because apparently someone joked that the way he said that name “sounded like a Minecraft character.” I sure as heck wasn’t gonna stop him. THEN, we took the picture...and in the past, people I’ve taken photos with at the Con usually just sort of smile for the camera. There’s nothing wrong with that, naturally, I wouldn’t ask for otherwise. But he actually wanted to do something special, so he came up with us posing with him reading the manga, while myself - in costume and character as Holmes - peered at the book through my magnifying glass. He and the person taking the photo cracked up and we had to take the picture a second time because it came out all blurry the first time. XD TO TOP ALL THAT OFF...later, I passed by his booth, and he was still there. I called out to him: “Professor! We meet again!” He bowed. BOWED, I SAY! Naturally, I am elated by all of that. (Also, I still have more to share, but I’m putting a Keep Reading at this point because I think meeting Dismuke is the part you all want to know most about, and this is clearly going to be a long post. LOL)
SO...Aaron Dismuke wasn’t the only person I met today. I also got to meet John Barrowman - Jack Harkness from Doctor Who & Torchwood, Raoul from Phantom of the Opera, Merlyn from Arrow, etc. For him, I brought along a DVD collection of all the episodes for the 9th and 10th Doctors - those were the seasons Jack appeared in. This encounter was much shorter, but it was still no less enjoyable. He was also amazing; he talked to everyone in line as if they were people he’d met before, and was well-acquainted with, no matter who they were, what they were dressed as, etc. When I got up to him and asked for his signature, I also asked him, “what’s a role you’ve always wanted to play that you haven’t yet?” He paused then responded: “To be honest, I don’t think about that. See, if it’s a role I’ve always wanted to play, then that would mean it’s a role that already exists, and that somebody else has already done before. And there’s nothing wrong with that, but what I REALLY love most is playing a character who is completely new, and being able to bring my own originality into the part.” An interesting philosophy I found both noble and unique. Then came the pictures...and yes, pictures, because he took four of them. We took one of us just smiling for the camera, then another of the same (”just to be safe”), then a “sassy” picture (I looked more...weird than sassy, ha ha), and finally a “silly and ugly” picture. All around awesome. <3 Beyond those meetings, lots of fun was otherwise had. Bought a lot of cool goodies from the shops (nothing anime-related, so not sure how much of it you guys would be interested in; might share more info there with friends in private), and I took a lot of photos of some really cool costumes. A lot of people really liked my Sherlock Holmes cosplay, I was surprised and happy to find! One encounter I MUST share before I close this message out: right after meeting both Dismuke and Barrowman, I ran into a cosplayer...of William! “Professor!” I called out. “What are the odds?” I think they were even more happy to see Holmes than I was to see Moriarty! They were with a couple of non-costumed friends, who commented that they hadn’t expected to meet any other Moriarty fans there...and then asked to confirm if I was one. I responded by pulling out my copy of the manga from my bag. This only got them more excited, and they remarked, “You must be so ready to meet Aaron Dismuke!” I grinned and revealed I’d already gotten the autograph. I’m pretty sure the squeal they let out might have broken the sound barrier. We took a photo with each other, each holding our copy of the manga’s first volume. Of all the people I took photos with/of that day - from comic book characters, to My Hero Academia cosplays, to the Addams Family, to Alice in Wonderland characters, to Scooby-Doo, to the 11th Doctor, AND STILL MANY MORE...that was by far the most joyous. “I mark this day with a white stone.”

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max Review and Comparison: A Whole New Level When we talk about Apple, especially when it comes to their Pro lineup, expectations are already sky-high. But with the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, Apple’s pushing things up a notch—or maybe even ten notches? Let’s dive into this, no fuss, just straight to the meat. Introduction: iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max – The Next Big Thing? The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are the latest heavy hitters from Apple, packed with new features, upgraded performance, and jaw-dropping cameras. These aren’t just phones—they're tiny computers in your pocket that can pretty much do anything. From creating pro-level content to handling multiple tasks seamlessly, the new iPhones are designed to fit into every aspect of your daily life. Now, why did I decide to try them out? Simple. I wanted to see if all the hype around these devices was worth it. Was the camera as good as everyone says? Could the battery last a whole day of non-stop use? Most importantly, I was hoping to find out if upgrading to the iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max would make a difference in my everyday workflow and entertainment consumption. It wasn’t just about the bells and whistles—I wanted to know if these phones could truly enhance how I use tech daily. First Impressions: Sleek, But Are We Surprised? So, you’ve got your hands on the iPhone 16 Pro or the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The first thing? It’s slick. Apple nails it on design every single time. The edge-to-edge display, slightly tweaked (but let’s be real, it’s not THAT different from the iPhone 15 Pro), is what makes it feel premium. You know that feeling when you unbox something and everything feels just right? That’s exactly what you get here. But don't expect a revolutionary change. It's like when you get a fresh pair of kicks — not a complete game changer, but it looks and feels sharper. Features of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max When we talk about the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, it’s not just about the shiny new look; it’s the features packed inside that make these devices stand out. Here’s a breakdown of the main features and how they work in real-world use: A18 Bionic Chip – Lightning-Fast Performance The A18 Bionic is Apple’s newest chip, and it’s a beast. This processor takes care of everything, from handling intense gaming sessions to making multitasking smoother than ever. It’s designed to boost AI and machine learning tasks, meaning things like photo editing or video rendering are faster. If you’re someone who jumps between apps constantly or does heavy work like video production on your phone, this chip is a lifesaver. Effectiveness: This feature is incredibly effective. The performance upgrade feels noticeable, especially when running demanding apps. 48MP Camera System – Ready for Pro Shoots Both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max come with a 48MP main camera, enhanced by Apple’s software. The camera is built for low-light environments and offers sharper, clearer photos. Night mode is much improved, and portraits look almost studio-level without even trying too hard. On the Max, you get even more stability and higher quality in low-light settings, making it perfect for photography buffs. Effectiveness: For content creators, this is a game-changer. It’s almost like carrying a DSLR in your pocket. Whether you’re snapping pics for social media or capturing professional content, the clarity and detail are stunning. Display: Max-ing Out This is where the iPhone 16 Pro Max pulls ahead. That bigger, brighter display is a dream for content junkies. If you're the type that spends hours spree-watching or endlessly scrolling TikTok, this screen will spoil you. While the iPhone 16 Pro has a solid display, the Max’s size makes a difference. It’s not just about bigger pixels – it’s about having more real estate to work with. Text looks crisp. Videos? Super smooth.
But is it worth the upgrade? Depends on your daily habits. If you’re always on your phone, maybe. But if you just want the occasional Netflix session on your commute, the regular Pro will do you just fine. 120Hz ProMotion Display – Smooth and Fluid The iPhone 16 Pro and Max both feature a 120Hz ProMotion Display, which makes everything from scrolling to gaming feel smoother and more responsive. This feature is especially noticeable in gaming and when switching between apps. If you’re into mobile gaming or watching videos, you’ll love the silky transitions. Effectiveness: It’s a subtle yet powerful addition. Once you get used to the fluidity, going back to a regular 60Hz display feels like a downgrade. Battery Life – Power to Last All Day The iPhone 16 Pro Max has a larger battery compared to the iPhone 16 Pro, and you’ll feel it during the day. With normal use, the Pro can last a solid day, but the Max is a step up, pushing through heavy use without begging for a charger until late into the night. It’s perfect for power users. Effectiveness: The battery life on both models is impressive, but the Max truly shines here. It’s effective for people who rely on their phones for long hours without needing to constantly recharge. Customizable Lock Screens and Widgets – Make It Yours One cool addition is how customizable the lock screens and home widgets have become. You can now have different widgets for everything from weather updates to your favorite apps, displayed directly on your lock screen. This feature allows users to personalize their iPhones to match their lifestyles and habits. Effectiveness: It’s a neat feature, especially for productivity. You can have quick access to everything you need without even unlocking your phone, which streamlines your workflow. Face ID with Under-Display Sensor – Unlock with Ease Apple’s Face ID technology gets an upgrade with the sensor now tucked under the display. This means no more notchs and the unlocking speed is faster than ever. It’s more secure and smooth, letting you get into your phone instantly. Effectiveness: The under-display sensor works flawlessly, and you won’t even notice it’s there. The seamless experience adds to the premium feel of the device. MagSafe and Wireless Charging – Hassle-Free Power Apple’s MagSafe system is back, allowing for snap-on accessories like wallets and chargers. Wireless charging is also faster than before, and with MagSafe, aligning the charger is super easy. You can throw your phone on the charger without thinking twice. Effectiveness: It’s one of those features you don’t realize you love until you have it. No more fiddling with cables—just snap and charge. It’s effective for people who want a clean, easy charging experience. Conclusion on Features Each feature of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max is designed to enhance how you use your phone daily, from performance to personalization. Whether you’re into photography, gaming, or just want something that works efficiently without hassle, these phones pack the tools to make it happen. The iPhone 16 Pro Max might have the edge in terms of battery and display, but both models deliver features that will have you wondering how you ever lived without them. Performance: Fast is an Understatement I mean, did you expect Apple to put out a slow phone? That new A18 chip? It’s ridiculous. Multitasking on the iPhone 16 Pro is buttery smooth. The Max? Just gives you more room to play around with those apps. Gaming? No problem. Video editing on the go? Done in seconds. But honestly, when’s the last time you thought, “Wow, my iPhone is slow”? Exactly. It’s just getting faster, and at this point, it's more about flexing tech muscle than fixing any real problem we users have. Which One's for You? So, iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max? Here’s the deal: If you like compact, easy-to-hold phones that don’t sacrifice power, the iPhone 16 Pro is your buddy. It’s a powerhouse that fits in your pocket.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are undoubtedly flagship phones, but they're not without competition. To see where they truly stand, let’s compare them with some of their biggest rivals in the market: the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, the Google Pixel 9 Pro, and the OnePlus 12 Pro. Design & Build Quality iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max: Sleek, premium, and classic Apple design. With stainless steel frames and a ceramic shield, the iPhones continue to lead in durability and design aesthetics. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Sleek and futuristic, with its curved display and ultra-thin bezels. It’s heavier and bigger than the iPhone 16 Pro, and more similar in size to the Max. Google Pixel 9 Pro: Focuses on simplicity, with a slightly less premium feel but a very ergonomic design. Pixel goes for practicality over flashy design. OnePlus 12 Pro: Known for its clean and minimalist design, similar to the iPhone in terms of simplicity. However, it doesn’t feel as robust as the iPhones in hand. Verdict: If you want something more compact but still premium, the iPhone 16 Pro is your best bet. For bigger screens, the S24 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max are your go-tos. Display iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max: 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR displays, both with 120Hz ProMotion technology. The colors are vivid, and the brightness hits up to 2000 nits for outdoor viewing. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Features a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, with a 120Hz refresh rate and even more vibrant colors than the iPhones. It’s widely regarded as having one of the best displays. Google Pixel 9 Pro: 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Google’s focus on accurate colors and natural tones makes this display a delight, but it lacks the extreme brightness of the iPhone and Samsung models. OnePlus 12 Pro: 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 120Hz. It’s excellent for gaming and media, but not quite on par with the iPhones or Samsung’s offerings in terms of peak brightness. Verdict: If brightness and sharpness matter the most, the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra take the crown, though Samsung’s display may have the slightest edge. Camera iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max: 48MP triple-camera system with ProRAW and Night Mode. The Max model edges out slightly in terms of low-light performance. Apple’s computational photography is best for consistent, true-to-life images. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: 200MP main camera with amazing zoom capabilities (up to 100x). Samsung’s cameras excel in versatility and offer more zoom options than the iPhone, but can sometimes oversaturate colors. Google Pixel 9 Pro: 50MP primary camera with AI-powered computational photography. Google's AI-enhanced software continues to be the best for point-and-shoot simplicity, though it lacks the depth of features you get with Apple and Samsung. OnePlus 12 Pro: 50MP triple-camera setup. It’s a solid shooter but doesn't quite match the image quality and versatility of its competitors, particularly in low-light scenarios.
Verdict: If zoom and versatility are important, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra wins hands down. But for most users, the iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max offers a more balanced camera system, especially with its seamless software integration. Performance iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max: Powered by the A18 Bionic chip, which is blazing fast, handling gaming, multitasking, and AI tasks effortlessly. Apple’s software and hardware integration ensures smooth performance across the board. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It’s extremely powerful, but benchmark tests show Apple’s A18 chip is still ahead in terms of raw speed and efficiency. Google Pixel 9 Pro: Powered by the Google Tensor G3 chip, which focuses more on AI-driven tasks than raw performance. It’s good for day-to-day tasks but lags behind the iPhone in gaming and high-performance tasks. OnePlus 12 Pro: Also runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, providing top-notch speed and performance. It’s comparable to the Samsung S24 Ultra, but like most Android devices, it can feel a little less optimized compared to the iPhone. Verdict: The iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max takes the crown for sheer performance, especially if you're looking for the best mix of speed and efficiency. However, all the phones perform admirably. Battery Life iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max: Offers up to 22 hours on the Pro and 28 hours on the Max. Apple’s battery efficiency is commendable, especially with its A18 chip optimizing energy use. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Known for having a slightly larger battery, but the higher resolution display and power-hungry features mean its battery life is comparable to the iPhone 16 Pro Max in real-world use. Google Pixel 9 Pro: Battery life is decent, lasting about a day of moderate use, but it’s not as efficient as the iPhones, especially when running intensive tasks. OnePlus 12 Pro: Battery life is strong, but like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, heavy use can drain it quicker than the iPhone. Verdict: For sheer longevity, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is a top choice, but the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra isn’t far behind. Software & Ecosystem iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max: Runs iOS 18, with a focus on privacy, seamless integration with other Apple devices (Mac, iPad, Apple Watch), and regular updates. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Runs One UI on Android 14. It’s highly customizable and integrates well with Samsung’s ecosystem, but it lacks the smooth continuity across devices that Apple offers. Google Pixel 9 Pro: Offers a clean, stock Android 14 experience with exclusive Google features. If you're heavily invested in Google’s services, this phone makes everything simpler. OnePlus 12 Pro: Runs OxygenOS over Android, which is fast and clean, but doesn't offer the same ecosystem connectivity as Apple or even Samsung. Verdict: If you’re tied into the Apple ecosystem, the iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max offers unbeatable integration. Google offers simplicity, while Samsung provides customization. Overall Comparison Conclusion Each phone has its strengths: The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max excel in performance, user experience, and a balanced camera system. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is for those who want a larger, more vibrant display and cutting-edge camera zoom. Google Pixel 9 Pro is perfect for pure simplicity and AI-driven photography. OnePlus 12 Pro is a solid performer but doesn’t quite reach the heights of the others in certain areas like the camera. In terms of a complete package, the iPhone 16 Pro or Pro Max offers the best balance of performance, ecosystem integration, and reliability. However, if display and zoom capabilities are your priority, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra could be the better option. Final Thoughts At the end of the day, whether you go for the iPhone 16 Pro or the iPhone 16 Pro Max, you're getting top-tier performance. Apple knows what they're doing, and they do it well. But hey, we’ve come to expect that, right?
The differences between these two are more about personal preferences than anything else. If you're thinking of upgrading, ask yourself: do you want something big and bold, or sleek and powerful? Either way, Apple’s got you covered. Pros and Cons of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max iPhone 16 Pro iPhone 16 Pro Max

Sanrio Uni Gen5
Here's gen5, this is my first time to getting generation 5 after the update that made it easier to tell if you have a generation that's a multiple of 5. I was only able to keep up with things because I kept blogging about my tamagotchi so I could keep up.
Now that this update is helpful for people that aren't keeping track like me. Plus the egg is a nice color so even better.
My phone & the tamagotchi's screen made this washed out some, tried to get this to at least show the egg's color better for this pic.
On my first tamagotchi uni I messed up getting Bubbletchi cause I let gen4 leave instead of marry him off. This time I got Bubbletchi right away on gen5 without any mess ups.
Gen5 had a calm personality, she liked steamed eggs, sushi, soup, somen noodles, bubble hat, headphones, bedazzled glasses, ghost mask, bubble balloon & ghost friends
She became an adult while I was asleep(device's audio was off cause I was staying at my dad's & it would be noticeable despite it being on the lowest volume or at least to me) so didn't get the ability to get a pic of when the care badge for her actually showed up
Here's gen3(since gen4 is a DLC character that doesn't get a care badge) as an example for how the screen would look had I gotten the badge in time

What is the HDMI loop-out function, and why is it different?
Some electronic devices have different names for similar functions. This is based on a broadly understood mix of technical terms and marketing titles. For example, in the early 2000s, everything had to be 'HD', no matter what product you promoted. Then 'HD' and 'Full HD' became less fashionable and more like a technical term for the exact resolution of a display, 1280×720 and 1920×1080 pixels, respectively.
The same thing happens for the HDMI splitter function. It basically is, as the name suggests, splitting the signal from one HDMI input to multiple outputs. As HDMI is not an analog signal, it cannot really be split with a Y-cable. But still, there are a bunch of passive (i.e., those that require no external power supply) splitters out there on Amazon. I'll suggest leaving them for the tiniest field of applications when both (no more than two, really) monitors are extremely close together and the budget for the installation is close to zero. Passive splitters use very little power, as some is provided alongside the digital video signal. But they are very dependent on the cables and their lengths to sustain this load. Funny enough, a cheap and simple splitter requires decent-quality cables to operate, with no guarantee of this kit being reliable. So, I suggest we leave this type of splitter outside our article.
Back to better-designed equipment: active HDMI splitters. Usually, those are small boxes with an external power adapter, used in small installations with a couple of TVs for 24/7 usage in small businesses like nail salons or gyms. Active splitters ensure that if the displays are different, the splitter picks the appropriate resolution and frequency. Active splitters can be used with longer cables, be reliable, and deliver the best possible experience for the viewer.
Moreover, it's splitters job (well, part of it) to help both the source and the display or projector make all the hadshakes. A splitter adds complexity to the connection, so it has to not mess up the HDMI and HDCP connections. A standalone splitter has to support all the EDID signatures and HDCP certificates to establish a proper connection. So, as it often is, the best additional equipment is the absence of it.
This is the reason behind the 'loop-out' function. It represents, in its core, the integration of a splitter into an active extender, switcher, or something of that sort. It is aimed at a very specific use case: local monitoring. This can be useful if we use a smaller display for keeping an eye on the output signal and, in addition, as troubleshooting equipment for the extender itself. Extenders, matrixes, switchers, twisted pairs, and HDMI cables could be finicky, but the first step is to check the source, as it is the input for the extender.
'Loop-out' is common amongst INRIKS devices and can be used in different cases.

Modern Pinterest-inspired gaming setups for small apartments call for a solution like that. This is an entertainment multipurpose machine for Steam and Netflix. The source is usually a PC with more or less tasteful RGB lighting all over it. And then it outputs to two monitors: a regular PC display and a remote TV or projector, usually in front of a couch and a coffee table. Technically, this requires a splitter and a high-quality 4K extender. Using one device instead of two means fewer wires, a cleaner desk, and lower latency. The local monitor is connected to the 'loop-out' HDMI, and the TV uses the extender's in and out ports.
pic from Blackmagic website https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/blackmagicvideoassist
The less obvious use case is professional video production. We are all tired of YouTube reviewers constantly testing any piece of tech they lay their hands on in terms of filming, editing, and rendering video content. But it is indeed a big part of modern-day marketing; professional video equipment is much closer to the everyday office worker than ever before. Streaming live events or hosting webinars is a common thing, and it requires monitoring. On the higher end of the price range, a 7-inch RED monitor will set you back $2600. Cheaper options are not that cheap either. So, if we set up a display in the hallway and a smaller one from Amazon for the cameraman, then that little aux monitor can be hooked up to the 'loop-out' HDMI of an extender.
Pic from alibaba.com
The next and obvious environment for a loop-out is any lecture hall. From the smallest classroom to the largest theater, a professor needs to see exactly what is shown on the screen behind her or him. The only worse thing than showing something wrong during the lecture is being unaware of it. Most schools need a splitter for the stand, want some simplicity and rigidity, and prefer their equipment to be cheap and easy to replace if broken or lost.
Pic from website LG business Solution https://www.lg.com/global/business/commercial-tv/lg-43ut662m-mea
For small businesses, splitting HDMI could be an afterthought. From a salesman's (or that tech-savvy friend's) point of view, when a coffee shop or a nail salon adds a TV, it's easy to say, "Buy an extender for it." It's significantly less easy to then add, "You will need an HDMI splitter box to go along with it." It saves some unnecessary hustle to have such a splitter integrated for the screen near the reception, which used to be hooked up with a cable to some source like a TV box.
To wrap this up, 'loop-out' is a nice thing to have if one needs any type of local monitoring. A simple, exactly 1×2 integrated splitter is a cost-effective way to deal with such cases, adding around 5 to 10 bucks to the price of an extender compared to 20 to 30 for a standalone unit. To my taste, it is just neater, with less cable clutter and no need for an extra socket.

The Rise of Robocook: Electric Pressure Cookers revolutionizing Modern Cooking
In recent years, electric pressure cookers have emerged as versatile kitchen appliances, revolutionizing the way people approach cooking. These compact and efficient devices have gained immense popularity due to their ability to save time, and energy, and maintain the nutritional value of food. This article explores the key features, advantages, and considerations for using electric pressure cookers.
Cooking is fun for a few but stressful for most. One would agree when working in the heat sweating like a pig, getting their fingers burnt, overcooking the food when one loses track of time, expecting a taste of a 5-star dish but getting a result that can barely be recognized as edible, forgetting ingredients and the time that the food is supposed to cook, burning both food and vessels and finally watching the reaction in the faces of your family when they taste it.
Stop putting pressure on your body, when the Geek Robocook electric pressure cooker is here to the rescue. The Geek Robocook brings a revolution to cooking and puts other ordinary pressure cookers and electric cookers to shame. Cooking has become far more simple and faster. Due to lack of time in current days, people have started to prefer cooking in electric pressure cookers.
Traditional pressure cookers have been a staple in kitchens for decades, but electric pressure cookers have taken convenience to a new level and they provide numerous options to cook without the hassle of supervision. These appliances leverage advanced technology to automate the cooking process, making them accessible even to those with limited culinary expertise.
Electric pressure cookers operate by creating a sealed environment that traps steam, increasing internal pressure and subsequently raising the boiling point of water. This accelerated cooking process significantly reduces the time required for meal preparation. Additionally, these appliances often come equipped with a range of features, including multiple cooking modes, programmable timers, and safety mechanisms to ensure a hassle-free cooking experience.
Electric pressure cookers have undoubtedly transformed the culinary landscape, offering a perfect blend of efficiency, versatility, and nutritional preservation. As more households embrace the convenience of these appliances, it's clear that electric pressure cookers are here to stay, promising to redefine the way we approach home-cooked meals in the 21st century.

TIPS FOR USAGING ROBOCOOK:
Burn Notice:
If your electric pressure cooker displays a "burn" notice, it indicates that food is sticking to the bottom. Release pressure, open the cooker, and stir the contents. Adding more liquid or deglazing the pot can prevent this issue.
Overcooking:
To avoid overcooking, particularly with delicate ingredients, use the minimum cooking time suggested in recipes. You can always add more time if needed after releasing pressure.
Sealing Issues:
Ensure the sealing ring is properly positioned, and the valve is free from debris. A good seal is crucial for efficient pressure cooking.
Steam Release Problems:
If the steam release valve is not functioning correctly, check for blockages and clean as needed. Also, make sure the float valve moves freely.
Lid Sticking:
If the lid is challenging to open after cooking, wait a few minutes for the pressure to equalize. If it persists, run cold water over the lid to aid in releasing the pressure.
COMMON MYTHS BELIEVED BY THE CUSTOMERS:
The customers believe in certain illogical thoughts that are psychologically created in their minds. They don’t consider the presented facts but would rather avoid them and believe in unnecessary fear for safety and health.
Electric Pressure Cookers Are Unsafe:
Modern electric pressure cookers have built-in safety features, including pressure release valves and locking mechanisms. Following the manufacturer's instructions ensures safe operation.
They Remove Nutrients from Food:
Electric pressure cookers, if used correctly, retain more nutrients than traditional cooking methods due to the shorter cooking times and reduced exposure to high heat.
Only Suitable for Certain Foods:
Electric pressure cookers are incredibly versatile and can be used for a wide range of dishes, including soups, stews, grains, meats, desserts, and more.
They Are Complicated to Use:
While there may be a short learning curve, electric pressure cookers are designed to be user-friendly. Start with simple recipes, and as you become familiar with the appliance, you can explore more complex dishes.
Geek electric pressure cookers ensures a quality product at a reasonable price along with constant assistance and a 2-year warranty to avoid uncertain issues with the product.

random today the thoughts they feel
So, putting a 'not for ___ blogs you will be blocked' on something actually sort of works here. I made that meme to be a joke about space orcs not your attention seeking behavior, mkay.
And while we're airing grievances someone please explain to the developmentally challenged gang flooding the place that each fucking video doesn't have to be a separate upload you can put multiple videos in an upload like the people with the TV series do. You're bumming us all out like the bots who spam with the same video using the same pic but slightly different wording. Everyone already expects we have to sort thru a mass of anime and tiddies and now we have a thousand of your videos to deal with too. I know this is an everyone has the freedom to upload everything (except you know) place but c'mon. We have lost media to deal with.
And for the umpteenth time if you were my friend I would have copied those Barth DVDs for ya and the episodes of YCDTOTV that Adam wrote wouldn't have been lost. I've had them long enough to be a relationship.
Still can't believe I have more than two nickels because I've had to edit something about the same specific destructive attention seeking behavior blogs and I've only encountered one tick tock faker in the wild.
I couldn't do it with the first one but if I am in a situation where I can I am going to film the faker while speaking in a naturalist voice then upload it, with everyone's faces redacted, and let the internet take it's course. Perhaps we'll be lucky and see if another of the species responds to the mating call. Or do you just blatantly stand in front of them and film? Can't yell at me for doing that, I'm disabled too, can't you see my mobility device and the scars I got battling gravity? Want to hear my tics? Usually you can't because I worked as a ninja for awhile so I made them as quiet and unassuming as possible because my autism and upbringing would have made me cringe myself to death if I had disturbed another human being with my existence while dealing with the fallout of a spoiled little half sister who was allowed to scream obscenities at the top of her lungs for attention so I think I've earned the right to be pissed off. Not sorry if you heard that in Retro Phantom's voice.
And I have to say half sister because I have to. It's cathartic. Like writing her out of my will cathartic.

I'm first aid, CPR, and wilderness rescue first aid certified. If you can, get certified!! The biggest benefit of these classes is the practice and muscle memory, staying calm can save a life. Otherwise, the info is pretty easy to obtain in full online, see links below. The basics of CPR are just:
1) Check the scene. Are there dangers still present, such as live wires or moving water? You can't save anyone if you're dead. Check the person. Are they responsive, are they breathing, can you feel a pulse? If not,
2) Call for help. Do not be vague, look directly at one person and tell them to call 911 and report "x" symptoms. Look directly at another person and tell them to bring the first aid kit and if possible AED device (defibrillator, the "CLEAR & shock" guys from tv - these give clear instructions, you MUST make sure no one is touching them when it says clear so that it can properly gauge the person's need). AEDs only help one type of heart attack, if it will not administer the shock or multiple uses do not return breathing and pulse continue CPR.
3) Begin performing CPR until the person regains consciousness, help arrives (switch to AED and follow its instructions when brought), or you cannot physically continue and direct someone to swap you out. Push Hard, to the point that ribs may break if done correctly. When giving air pinch the nose and tilt the head back slightly, its not like a kiss your mouth should be locked entirely over theirs - if chest is not rising perform a visual and then physical (two fingers) check for an item blocking the airway.
See below for pictures and more info, along with how to identify a stroke (slightly blurry Pic straight from my first aid emergency pamphlet)
Additionally!!!!!! Many pharmacies or local resource centers now give free or cheap Naloxone nasal spray for overdoses. Naloxone will not cause any harm to someone not overdosing, so if you have any suspicion of an overdose (unconscious, difficult/slow breathing, pinpoint pupils not responding to light) it is better safe than sorry! Administer the nasal spray, lay them on their side, and call for help - wait 2-3 minutes for it to work. If a second dose is needed use the OTHER nostril. If breathing stops, check airway for vomit or obstruction and begin CPR. Do not worry about the person or yourself being arrested for drug paraphernalia there are laws against that, just call for help!!
I had to take online CPR and first aid training today for a thing I have to do and I'm wondering why this isn't part of standard curriculum in high schools or at least in a class free to take for the public because frankly this stuff is a lot simpler than I thought it was.
#everyone should know this info it should be taught in middle and high school#stay calm! ask for help directly! and do your best!!#i would rather have someone w some incomplete knowledge TRY to save me than just lay there dying waiting for an ambulance#esp if youre in a rural place where help will take time to arrive#good samaritan laws mean you are not at legal risk for trying to help and they cant arrest an overdosing person who needs help
